Product Documentation CMS Configure CMS Block editor More Rich Text Editing Options

More Rich Text Editing Options

When using a text block, such as a Paragraph, Header, or List Block, a Rich Text menu with more editing options will be available to you in the selected block's toolbar. This gives you additional ways to customize your text aside from the pinned toolbar options.

  • Click the Arrowhead Icon in the toolbar to see the additional options.

Highlight

Using the Highlight option in a text block's toolbar is a great way to ensure specific text stands out to a reader. It allows you to change the color of text and its background.

Add Highlight To Text Or Background

Clear Unknown Formatting

In certain situations, you may come across an option in the block toolbar to Clear Unknown Formatting. This option will only appear if the system detects unrecognized formatting in a block; in the pinned toolbar, you will see a symbol containing a question mark appear. Choosing the Clear Unknown Formatting option will remove any unrecognized code that is affecting your content. That said, it is not necessary to clear the unknown formatting in order to apply other rich text editing.

For example, the Clear Unknown Formatting option might appear when you have copied and pasted content from a document editor such as Google Docs or Microsoft Word, or if you have used the Edit as HTML option in the More options menu.
