Operations PIM - Setting Up Subcategory Slider

1. Navigate to "PIM" section

   To display a subcategory slider on the commerce site, ensure that the Primary Images for the subcategories are set up first. To do this, navigate to the "PIM" section in the Operations Portal.

   

2. Click "Categories"

   Then, select the "Categories" option. In order to access and update "Categories", you will need to be set up either as an administrator or a superuser, or have the roles of: "categoryView" and "categoryEdit".

   

3. Go to the "Data" tab

   Go to the "Data" tab.

   

4. Enter the category name in the "Parent Category Name" field

   Enter the category name in the "Parent Category Name" field to narrow down the list of subcategories.

   

5. Go to the category's details screen

   Next, click the more details icon to go to the subcategory's details screen.

   

6. Click "Attach File"

   Here, you can set up the primary image of the category. Click the "Attach File" icon located at the top right portion of the page.

   

7. Select "Primary Image"

   Then, select "Primary Image". A prompt will appear, allowing you to choose an image from your computer.

   

8. Images are saved in the "Public Files" tab

   Once uploaded, the image will be saved in the "Public Files" tab. Repeat the process of uploading images to the other subcategories. Also note that the slider will only appear if a category has six or more subcategories.

   

9. Go to the category page

   On the commerce site, navigate to the category page where you want to set up the subcategory slider.

   

10. Click "MANAGE CATEGORY"

    Next, click the "MANAGE CATEGORY" button.

    

11. Set "Display" to "Yes"

    Under the Subcategory Slider setting, click the "Display" dropdown and select "Yes".

    

12. Add a "Title"

    Now, add a Title for your subcategory slider. The subcategory slider is only shown if the slider title is set.

    

13. Click "Save"

    Save your changes by clicking the "Save" button.

    

14. Subcategory slider is shown in the category page

    The subcategory slider will be shown once you hit save.
