Digital Credit Application

If your company offers customers the ability to apply for business credit, you can include a digital credit application on your Kodaris Commerce website. Your customers can register and apply for credit by filling out and submitting a secure digital application directly on your website. This allows you to offer your customer a fully digital experience and saves your company time and money by avoiding manual data entry.

The credit application can be available on your website with a user-friendly form that your customers can complete in order to apply. This provides a unified experience under your brand rather than going to a third-party website.

Kodaris provides a standard form with common required fields; however, you have the ability to customize the fields and form requirements to your business needs.

Common Form Fields:

  • Business Details (legal business name, phone number, email address, federal tax I.D. number, state contract license number, etc.)
  • Billing Information (name, address, etc.)
  • Physical Address (name, phone number, email address, address, etc.)
  • Business Financials (tax information)
  • A/P Information (business type, A/P contact, A/P phone number, A/P email, invoice/statement preferences, etc.)
  • Owner Information (name, title, phone number, address, etc.)
  • Credit Information (supplier references)
  • Agreement (legal language)
  • Electronic signatures

When customers are directed to the digital credit application, they will first create an account by entering their email address. Shortly after, they will receive a welcome email so they can set their password and get started. This step will also verify their email address for security purposes to ensure they control that email.

Once a customer registers for an account, a Company will also be created in the Kodaris Operations Portal with the status of their application. You can track their credit application status within the Portal at any time. Their customer status will be either “Applying For Credit” or “Applied For Credit”. You can sign up to receive a notification when a credit application status changes, which will also alert you when a new application has been submitted. This information can help you and your team monitor how many applications you have received and where your customers are within the process.

As customers fill in the application, their data will be saved, and they can come back to it to complete it at a later time if needed. If a customer would like to make changes to their application once submitted, you can re-open it by updating the application status in the Operations Portal to “Applying For Credit”.

After a credit application has been completed and sent, a PDF file of the application will be saved under the customer’s account in the Operations Portal for reference. You can view and download these files directly from the Portal. It’s important to note that you can set specific user permissions to be able to control who has access to credit application data and any sensitive information, such as the PDF.
