You have the ability to set one of your shipping method options as “Manual”, allowing you to manually calculate the shipping cost when entering an order. If “Manual” is selected for the shipping method, you can directly enter the shipping cost, and the grand total will reflect the amount that you manually set. To do this, navigate to "Orders" in the operations portal.
Select the "Shipping Methods" option. In order to access this screen you will need to be set up either as an "administrator" or a "superuser", or have the appropriate roles: "shippingMethodEdit" and "shippingMethodView".
There are two ways to set up calculating shipping manually. First, is by going to the Shipping Method details page. Click on the more details icon. For this example, we are choosing to update the delivery option to manual.
In the "Calculation Type" field, click on the dropdown.
Select "Manual".
Another way to set up manual calculation of shipping is to update it on the grid. Click "Show/Hide" Columns icon.
Select "Calculation Type" to view in the grid.
Double-click the "Calculation Type" cell.
Then, select "Manual".
Once configured, go to your order details page and check that the Shipping Method on the order is set to Delivery.
Click the Shipping amount under the Totals section.
Manually enter the new shipping amount.
Tick the checkbox to save.
Click "Calculate". The shipping amount will be successfully set with the amount you entered.
