This document outlines the networking requirements for Kodaris Payments Terminal Devices to ensure proper connectivity and functionality for payment processing operations.

Network Connectivity Requirements

Internet Access

Kodaris Payments Terminal Devices require internet connectivity to communicate with our secure payment processing infrastructure. The terminals operate using outbound connections only and do not require any inbound network access.

Firewall Configuration

Outbound Rules Required:

  • Allow TCP traffic on port 443 to the internet for connecting to:
    • spinpos.net
    • api.mxmerchant.com
  • Allow TCP traffic on port 5555 to the internet for connecting to:
    • spin.spinpos.net

Inbound Rules:

  • No inbound rules required
  • All inbound traffic can be blocked to terminal devices

Network Architecture Options

Option 1: Shared Network

Terminal devices can operate on your existing business network alongside other devices.

Option 2: Isolated Network

Terminal devices can be deployed on a completely isolated network segment with internet-only access. The devices do not require access to internal network resources.

In this article
