Shared Drive now supports drag-and-drop functionality for uploading files directly into folders. This streamlined approach works alongside the existing "New > Upload File" option, giving users more flexibility in how they add content to their drives.
The feature works by simply selecting one or multiple files and dragging them into the target folder. When files are positioned over the upload area, a "Drop files here" indicator appears to confirm the drop zone. Once released, files upload automatically and appear in the folder immediately.
All existing Shared Drive capabilities remain fully functional after upload, including file preview, sorting options, view layouts, and file management actions like moving, downloading, or deleting files. The drag-and-drop functionality provides a faster, more intuitive way to upload content without disrupting established workflows.
This feature is now available in Shared Drive. For a complete walkthrough of the drag-and-drop functionality, view the demonstration video.
